About Me

A woman with light brown hair, wearing a blue knit sweater and pearl earrings, smiling at the camera against a plain light background.

I’m an experienced writer and former research scientist with a passion for turning complex, technical information into clear, accurate, and engaging content. With years of experience in both the life sciences and professional writing, I bridge the gap between subject matter experts and the audiences who rely on their knowledge.

My career began in biological research, where I earned my M.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience and worked as a research scientist in both academic and industry labs, including the Allen Institute and the University of California, San Francisco. In these roles, I developed SOPs, authored protocols, introduced new experimental techniques, and designed and built implantable devices. This gave me firsthand experience with the precision and rigor required in regulated environments.

Today, I apply that same scientific mindset to technical and medical writing. At Biotium, I create ISO-compliant regulatory documents, protocols, product data sheets, educational resources, and more. I collaborate closely with scientists, engineers, and product managers to ensure every document meets high standards for accuracy, clarity, and usability. My work encompasses regulatory writing, marketing materials, internal style guides, and content that enables users to succeed with complex products. I’m committed to producing documentation that is not only technically sound but also accessible and easy to follow.

When I’m not writing, you’ll find me exploring new learning opportunities, traveling, or hiking the trails near my home in Northern California with my dog.
